howdy, I'm web. nice to meet you!
NOTE: Most of this page is carried over from my old website, so it may be slightly outdated; once completed, this note will be removed.
My username is TheWebCon, most folks call me Web, and I've always been a creative type. Now, thanks to this website, I can carve out my own little space for myself!
I'm a college student who is (at the time of writing) completing my final semester for a degree in computer science and web design.
imagine my surprise when I find out about neocities and can finally put my knowledge to good use
I like to make a ton of things, many of which you can find on that sidebar to the left. About some of it...
Music
I like to write music, think about writing music, study and analyze music, go bowling and perform music.
Programming
Computers are cool; what can I say? Growing up alongside computers has been both a blessing and a curse, but it's amazing what these magical boxes can do. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to grow and improve my skills, after all! I'm currently at university to learn everything I can about how to get the most out of these devices. Part of testing my skills also involves building the website you're currently on! ...I, uh, hope you like it.
Videos
Video production is fun and it makes my brain happy, so I tend to do on occasion. For now my videos are primarily focused on my music projects or are related to theme parks.
Graphics
Oh yeah, I also like making cool images, logos, backgrounds, fonts, designs, layouts, and attempting to draw characters before giving up for another few weeks.
Passions
I LOVE theme parks. I love to learn more about them, experience new rides and attractions, and delve into the histories of old parks and rides (particularly stuff from EPCOT Center). I particularly love Disney and Universal's resorts, as I have a lot of fond memories there. I'm also the creator of an internet webseries entitled The Dark Ride Zone, which goes over the history and stories of theme parks, their rides, and everything in-between.
I enjoy playing a wide variety of games from as many platforms as I can. One of my top favorites is Minecraft Java as it provides me an outlet for me to express my love of voxel sandboxes, programming, and theme park creation (see Fuse section for more details). I'm also a huge fan of Splatoon, A Hat In Time, Deltarune, Paper Mario, Cult of the Lamb, Portal, Spelunky, Kirby, Rhythm Heaven, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, The Stanley Parable, etc...
Communication
In terms of internet activity, I tend to keep to myself and don't post much as I don't want to let my opinions get in the way of my passion and work. In terms of when new projects are released, I have no schedule of any kind; my mantra is "new projects will come out when they're ready." Sure, it means I'll probably never "hit it big" or anything, but who needs that when I already enjoy doing it for free?
This site will probably be the most popular place for me to just talk about and show off everything I like. At the moment it's mostly a portfolio site but I want to add way more reallllly soon.
I am pretty bad with communication when it comes to people I don't yet know; I'm trying to work on that, but I apologize for any awkwardness or if you have to keep pinging me.
Can I use something you made for a thing I'm doing?
